“I ask you, in the name of God, to defend Mother Earth.”
(Pope Francis)

The week of May 16th – May 22nd (a week before Pentecost) has been designated as Laudato Si: Care of Our Common Home Week of reflection, prayer, and study. On May 24, 2021 the Vatican office of Dicastery for Promotion of Integral Human Development launched a new program and a public commitment for families, schools, dioceses, religious orders, and others to begin a seven-year journey toward total sustainability in the spirit of Laudato Si’.
Laudato Si Goals:
The Earth Care committee, together with Pope Francis, invite you on this journey together as a community to make the principles of Laudato Si for sustainable living in our common home part of your everyday life as a Franciscan community, as part of the church, as part of a country, and part of our family.
